I just loaded DFX and played the first singleplayer mission.
I started the next one and the game play is sooo slugish and choppy it is unplayable.
My PC meets all requirments and I have not tried online gameplay yet.
any help?

Does it start out laggy ( or choppy ) at first, then smooth out? Or is does it continuously do it?
You may have too much running while the game is playing that is taking up too much system memory, so it's having a hard time keeping up. (Thats my problem.)
Try setting your game to a lower resolution, that should make some difference.

Thanks Jason. I tried it, but it's still pretty much the same. The lag is unplayable. No wonder they were selling the game for only twenty bucks. This bites I loaded the game on my other PC and it seems to play ok, but neither one will let me play online. I have to sort that out now.

you have to update your game, go to the updates section on it, and install those. That might be another problem

hmmm, If it still won't let you play online then check your firewall or virus settings.
What happened to the other tech support site?.....(**giggles**)

Yeah, I already did the updates so gotta be something else. My problem with going online is that whole goofy sign up and log in process. Since I installed the game on two seperate computers, I think that screwed me up. Nova thinks I am 2 different people trying to use the same key code or something? I'll get it sorted, I hope.

No, thats not it, because i can host on this computer and leave it running. Then i can go to Cindy's house and log in and play in Nova. As long as you know your username and password, you can play anywhere.
I didn't know you were having trouble playing online too. I thought you just had problems with it being choppy.

Thanks Jason... I finally got online, but the game is really laggy and choppy in there too and it ended up freezing up with an error.
I guess it's a video card or a memory issue like you were saying.
I'll try the other PC online. It should work.

So was that it? Or is the other PC doing the same thing?

Well the single player games work ok on the other computer but when i try to play online it says it's connecting to nova world and the music plays.... But the nova world log in never comes up... I think I messed up by using the same key code when I installed the game on both PC's....

Weird. As long as you are not logged in on one, you should be able to play on the other one. For example, my game is installed on my PC and on our lap top. I can play on line on either one. Just can't already be logged in on opposite one I am trying to play on.
If your other PC can handle the single player games, a person would think it could handle the on line games too...

Like i said, I can host here at my home, and go to your house Cindy and play on your pc logged into my account. remember when i told you you were pinging 38 for my server?

Well, in that case I have no idea why it won't log onto the server I'll keep trying I guess? I think you will find me playing DF2......I still see alot of familiar faces and it's still fun to play.
